Is een zuur "neodecaanzuur". VERSATIC acids are synthetic tertiary acids with almost unique structures and properties. They are carboxylic acids with a highly branched structure and a tertiary carbon atom next to the carboxylic acid group. These two features allow VERSATIC acids to impart unconventional chemical properties in a cost-effective way to a wide variety of applications, such as agrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, peroxides and catalysts, thus allowing a greater range of applications and products compared to the available primary and secondary acids. The main products in the range are VERSATIC Acid 5 (also known as pivalic acid) and VERSATIC Acid 10.
